The Waggin Tail Cafe

One of my oldest and dearest friends and her hubby (along with their dog, Hank) came to explore the area as a potential "shoot" location for a show she is working on.

Since the show has to do with dogs we visited "all things dog" in Meaford.  One of the places we visited was The Waggin Tail Cafe, a recently opened cafe for pets and people.

We were greeted by Sparky, a new found friend for our Shih Tzus, Chloe and Julian, as well as cafe owner, Joyce.

The cafe itself is tucked away on Trowbridge Street in Meaford, not far from the harbour. The space is bright, welcoming and "dog friendly".  The coffee is FANTASTIC!  Even if you don't have a dog, please do check out this place as it is truly unique and you can grab a great cup of coffee while you're at it.  If you have kids, I'm sure they will get a kick out of it as well!

The Waggin Tail Cafe ... a fantastic place where you can take your "fur baby" (or babies if you have more than one), enjoy a GREAT cup of coffee and enjoy the company of other dog lovers and their pets.

Joyce and Sparky, you have a fantastic cafe and we anticipate you will soon outgrow your space!

Chloe and Julian will be bringing us back to enjoy another cup of coffee soon!  Until then, Carrie On....!

Somewhat Biased

Before I start posting I do want to recognize and admit, up front, that I am biased.

I love the area where I live so most of my posts will likely be about people, places and business around my home.  Of course, I do venture to other places and will be posting about those experiences (provided they are worthy) as well.

What Is My Purpose?

I was trying to explain the purpose of this blog to my husband and a friend and I had difficulty articulating exactly what it is I hope to achieve with this blog.

I need a creatitve outlet, something completely different from my "regular" job, something less stressful, something positive, something fun. A "to do" that doesn't include housework, grocery shopping or yard work - yay!  A "something" that will give me, my husband, my family a great reason for getting out, trying new things and meeting new people.

In a nutshell this is my way of recognizing good people doing good things, giving credit where credit is due and sharing experiences that others may enjoy too.

Quite simply, my purpose is to give back .....positively.  Because good things should happen to good people.

The name of my blog "Carrie On..." was a no-brainer.  A silly play on words using my name (brillant, don't you think?). "Carrie On..." as in, Carrie on (about) a certain topic or "Carrie On..." continue on, as you were, keep up the good work or Carrie on, as in "Is she going to carry on or shut up about this any time soon?"

Hope you find something of interest on this site, something new to try, someone new to meet, etc., etc.

Carrie On.....
